In the spring break of 2015, I visited my best friend, Anupama Saha, at Rutgers University for a week. This trip re-enforced the meaning of spending on experiences and memories rather than materialistic items.
This was my first time visiting a different university. Rutgers is huge. The fact that it spans over two towns baffles me. My time at Rutgers was cold (:-P) because of the snowfall. I did enjoy exploring campuses, dining halls and places that I had only heard about over hours of Skype calls with Anupama. Anupama and I attended our first ball and it was an amazing experience.
New York was as beautiful as always. As this was my second time in the city, I was less into the core tourist stuff and enjoyed more of the city's finer details. Anupama and I retraced the events of 14th September, 2014, my first day in the US. I also visited the New York Palace, the hotel I had come to love from endless hours of Gossip Girl.
There is something about New York that makes me want to shoot. It inspires me into pursuing street photography. The people, the iconic buildings and the constant moving life pushes me a step back, for me to observe and click. I definitely want to revisit New York.
